What this website does not do

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising tools. Fonts are served from this website, so no requests go to third-party font services. There are no embedded videos, maps or social media plugins. The link to LinkedIn is an ordinary link, and LinkedIn receives data only if you follow it.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit a page, your browser transmits technical data to the hosting servers, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and the browser used. This data is needed to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure and working website. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A data processing agreement with Cloudflare is in place. We do not store or analyse this data ourselves. Cloudflare keeps it only as long as needed for these purposes and then deletes it.

Contact by email

If you write an email, your message and contact details are processed to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR otherwise. Emails are deleted once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

Emails are hosted with Microsoft 365, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland, acting as a processor. A data processing agreement with Microsoft is in place. Where data is transferred to Microsoft Corporation in the USA, this is covered by Microsoft's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to an email delivery service and forwarded to us by email. Nothing is stored on this website. The service is Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA, acting as a processor. Resend processes the data in the EU (Ireland). A data processing agreement with Resend is in place, and Resend is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR otherwise. Messages are deleted once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

The executive summary on the Europe and India page is a plain file download. No personal data is collected beyond the hosting data described above.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR. To exercise them, write to the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Ansbach).

Right to object

Where data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing the data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for it, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
