In April 2026 Markus Weingartner published the whitepaper Beyond Permits: Securing the License to Operate for German Industrial Investments in India. It looks at the social and political risks that sit outside technical and legal planning, how they can be quantified as delay exposure, and a practical way of managing them from the start of a project. The paper starts from German industrial investments in India, and much of it applies to European companies more widely.
